The Horse Research Foundation annually awards the Horse Research Project of the Year and the Honorary Mention of the Year for outstanding equine research projects. These awards were presented at the Oslo Horse Show in 2023.
The award for Equine Research Project of the Year went to the project Hindleg lameness in horses – why is it so difficult to see and how can we improve? This is a project led by Nils Ivar Dolvik at NMBU and Elin Hernlund at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
The research team consisted of Maria Terese Engell, Pia Haubro Andersen, Eli Hendrickson, Marie Rhodin and Thilo Pfau.
